Colonial Williamsburg

We had a lot of fun in Colonial Williamsburg. We didn't buy tickets, so we couldn't go in to a few places. It was still fun.  The first place we went in was the garden. There was a lot of flowers and there were also some gardeners dressed up like people from colonial times. This is a picture of a tower from a church from across the street from the garden. My mom took this picture.

We mostly just went in shops. All the people who worked in Colonial Williamsburg were dressed up as colonists. We bought postcards and these arrowhead necklaces we found.  This is a picture of Maya's arrowhead. Mine is a little different.

For lunch we ate at a place called The Cheese Shop. We all got to pick a drink.  I picked Root Beer. I thought it tasted funny, but when I read the bottle it said that the people who made it actually boiled roots and didn't add any sugars! When I was almost done with my lunch we had to run to catch the bus. :)

This is a picture of me and Maya in pillars.  Pillars are something that judges would put criminals in for their punishment so people knew that they had done something wrong. The pillars are out in a field in between buildings, so everybody could see them.  It was extremely embarrassing to be put in pillars or stocks.

         Next stop Washington D.C!
