Colonial Williamsburg
We mostly just went in shops. All the people who worked in Colonial Williamsburg were dressed up as colonists. We bought postcards and these arrowhead necklaces we found. This is a picture of Maya's arrowhead. Mine is a little different.
For lunch we ate at a place called The Cheese Shop. We all got to pick a drink. I picked Root Beer. I thought it tasted funny, but when I read the bottle it said that the people who made it actually boiled roots and didn't add any sugars! When I was almost done with my lunch we had to run to catch the bus. :)
This is a picture of me and Maya in pillars. Pillars are something that judges would put criminals in for their punishment so people knew that they had done something wrong. The pillars are out in a field in between buildings, so everybody could see them. It was extremely embarrassing to be put in pillars or stocks.
Looks like your mom and dad are keeping you guys in line on your trip, if they are throwing you in the wooden stocks
ReplyDeleteYou're lucky your mom and dad don't do this back home!
ReplyDeleteWe're thinking of building some in the front yard.
